11versammlung in dem Theater; von den Vorsitzenden

14                   Beschluss des Rates,
15Empedion S.d. Eumelos aus dem Demos Euonymon stellte den Antrag:
16Worüber Vorstellung gemacht hat der Priester

18aus den geweihten Täfelchen im Heiligtum
19und aus dem vorhandenen Silber als Weihgabe
20für den Gott eine Weinkanne angefertigt werde - - -,
21zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen der Rat: dass
22die erlosten Vorsitzenden für die kommende
23Volksversammlung hierüber verhandeln lassen und die
24Beschlussvorlage des Rates in die Volksversammlung
25einbringen, wonach der Rat es für gut befindet, dass das
26Volk wähle zwei Männer unter den Mitgliedern des Areopag,
27drei unter ihren eigenen, die zusammen mit dem
28Priester und dem Strategen für die
29Ausrüstung und dem Sachverständigen für
30die Opfer die Täfelchen abnehmen und
31wenn es sonst noch irgendetwas aus Silber oder Gold gibt, sowie das
32geweihte Silber abwiegen
33und für den Gott ein Weihgeschenk anfertigen
34so schon sie es vermögen, und es weihen,
35versehen mit der Aufschrift: „Der Rat unter dem Archon
36Thrasyphon aus den Weihgaben für den Heros-
37Arzt“; aufzeichnen sollen die gewählten Männer
38die Namen der ehemaligen Dedikanten in
39dem Heiligtum und das Gewicht auf eine steinerne
40Stele und diese aufstellen in dem Heiligtum; und dass über
41alles, was an Verwaltung geschieht, sie Rechnung
42legen; dass sie auch einen Gemeindesklaven zum Gegen-
43zeichnen wählen, damit, wenn dies geschieht,
44sich gut und fromm ausgeht für Rat und Volk
45das Engagement gegenüber den Göttern; dass man dem Gott
46ein Reinigungsopfer opfere von fünfzehn Drachmen
47(Wert). – Für die Anfertigung der Wein-
48kanne für den Heros-Arzt sind unter allen Athener
49gewählt worden: Glauketes aus dem Demos
50Kephisia, Sogenes aus dem Demos Ikaria, Konon aus dem Demos Alo-

19and the silver coin, there should be fashioned, as a dedication
20to the god, a wine-pourer, [as beautiful as possible?],
21for good fortune, the Council shall decide, that the
22presiding committee allotted for the forthcoming
23Assembly shall put these matters on the agenda, and submit
24the opinion of the Council to the
25People that it seems good to the Council, that the People
26should choose two men [from the Areopagites],
27and three from their own number, who with the
28priest and the general in charge of

30in charge of sanctuaries, having melted down the models and

33will fashion for the god a dedication, as beautiful as
